Steins also known as a Bierkrug are traditional beer mugs with hinged lids and handles often made from materials like ceramic or glass and feature decorative designs. The lid was historically used to keep out insects, a practice that gained importance after the bubonic plague in Europe. The earliest known steins date back to the 16th century, with Germany largely credited for their invention. The inscription translates to “ He who does not love woman, wine, and song, remains a fool his whole life long.” This stein is in great condition with normal wear and tear. Some discoloration under men's image and chip on underside lip.
