Antique finely carved wooden Chinese deity sculpture of an immortal late 19th century or early 20th century carved hardwood standing figure of the deity Wen Chang Wang. He was the Daoist deity of culture and literature. Lovely worn patina. Some age cracks consistent with woods age. Small repairs on hat, see photos.
