Antique German Stoneware Pewter Lidded Jug

These jugs, primarily used for beer or wine, were produced in the Westerwald region of Germany, known for its salt-glazed stoneware, from the early 17th to late 19th centuries. The design features a distinctive blue and white design with high-relief figural scenes, including a tavern scene with people and a building. This jug has a thick pottery wall, an ornate handle, and a hinged pewter lid with a large thumb piece.This jug is in excellent condition.
